Once a student is able to learn these techniques, there is a massive sense of accomplishment. This empowers us with both self-esteem and confidence. The biggest factor in building this confidence is knowing that you will come out with some ability to defend yourself. That ability is priceless.

Mindfulness

Striking does not only have positive benefits for physical health, it has amazing benefits for mental health too. Our mind is enhanced through focus needed when developing proper technique. It is also a great stress reliever. There is nothing quite like smashing pads after a long day at work.

Athleticism

There are many benefits of cross-training in other sports such as football or GAA. Many famous sports stars across the world cross-train in kickboxing. It helps them to jump higher, run faster, lift heavier or just become more durable in general.

Some frequently asked questions

Where are the classes on?

We are located in the Donabate Sea Scouts, right beside the Credit Union.

What do I need to bring?

You will need your own set of boxing gloves(preferably 12oz weight) and a pair of hand wraps. We can also order equipment for you.

How much is the class?

The first class is free!

Normally it is only 8 euro per class. You can book and pay online here.

Do I need to reserve a place?

Due to demand and class size restrictions, you will need to book your place for each class. You can do this by clicking the "Book a class" link.

Who is the class designed for?

We have classes for different levels. Our mixed levels classes are designed for all levels including new beginners. We also have an intermediate class for more experienced members.

What are the coaches like?

Our coaches are lifelong martial artists with 35 years of combined training experience. Both coaches have experience in multiple forms of striking arts such as Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Taekwon-Do and Boxing. All coaches are also first aid qualified and Garda vetted.

Which martial arts are taught?

We mainly focus on a hybrid between Kickboxing and Muay Thai. In the Western world, many clubs adopt a hybrid K1 Kickboxing and Muay Thai approach.
